Classic Match of the Week

Andy Murray’s US Open title defence took a premature end with a straight sets defeat to Stan Wawrinka on Thursday. This week we look back at the first team he reached a slam final.

Cast your mind back to New York in 2008. Nadal had won the two previous slams on the clay of Paris and grass of Wimbledon. Meanwhile Murray was bidding to become the first Briton to reach a slam final since Greg Rusedski in 1997. They met in a fascinating semi-final.
